Centre for Economics and Business Predict House Prices to Fall

The value of the average home is predicted to fall as more people will lose their jobs coupled with no growth in the average annual income. The centre for Economics and Business believe that the market will stall this year and house prices may fall a further 1.7%.

Many people who are desperate to sell their home find that there is a shortage of the right type of buyer. Time and time again we hear that offers are made but the buyer can’t get a mortgage and the deal falls through. Mortgage lending for the rest of the year is expected to be at about half the rate of before the economic downturn. It is only when the banks open their doors again that we believe prices should rise.

If you are looking to sell your house for any reason, maybe it is a property that you simply don’t need and have inherited or you may be moving abroad we will provide you with a market leading quote and a quick sale.
